“These girls wore every feminine taboo like a badge of honor,” says stylist and Art Director Robecca Leyden of band The Runaways. Having developed a fascination with Joan Jett and Cherie Currie long ago, she decided to channel the band – one of her “favourite bands of all time” – in her latest shoot.
Ripped stockings, sequins, leopart-print fur coats and platform heels are styled by Leyden in the spirit of the band, the wild-girl theme cemented by Paulina Vergara’s out-there makeup and Gabriella Roccuzzo’s faithful rendition of ’70s glam hair.
