With her blunt, messy fringe and waves of thick hair, model Kendall Walters is the perfect ambassador for effortless, indie looks. That fact did not escape the attention of PR group door121.com, who cast her perfectly in their autumn / winter promo shoot and video titled Wild Runaway.
With her backpack and Doc Martens, tie-up crop tops and oversized knits, Walters is channeling the rebellious ’90s teenager. There’s a romanticism to her running away, leading the viewer to imagine that she’s left home not out of necessity but out of childish dreams of independence. We know something she doesn’t yet know: running away is only romantic when you have a home to go back to; one that, when you’re tired of being alone, will welcome you back with open arms and a cup of hot cocoa. In the meantime, though, she wears her attitude and rebellion with style.
