How things are presented on a runway and how they eventuate in a look book are sometimes two different things. The showmanship can be amped up for the former and played down when it comes to putting stock on shelves, but thankfully Anne Sofie Madsen’s stellar fall 2012 collection – which we first admired on the runway at Copenhagen fashion week – doesn’t lose any of its Avant Garde edge in translation. The collection’s look book may feel a little less dramatic, but that mostly comes down to simplified hair and makeup.
